School Projects

NEHS Collection

Within the four years I've been in NEHS, I've done many projects for the school, from fundraisers to actual projects. Some of these projects were requested from me, while others were for my personal desires. Here are the ones I could find!

The Formation of the US Government

My Senior Project for Northeast High School was THE most elaborate project I've ever created thus far. This Google Slide presentation sums my entire high school experience in about 20 slides, with plenty of images that prove how many memories I've made.

As of April 2023, everything on the Google Slides is updated, including my 1-Year & 5-Year Plan.

Prom Princess 2022 Promotion Flyer

This was, no doubt, one of my boldest moves yet! I decided to run for Prom Princess for my Junior Prom. While I didn't win, I'm proud for pushing myself out of my comfort zone. I'm even more proud for going to Junior Prom in a dress, but that's another story!

Junior Year: The End

My Junior Year was definitely one of the best years I've ever lived. Despite the constant stress I endured from my classwork and side-quests from many others, I lived quite a remarkable year. I also took as many pictures and videos as I could so that I can look back at my wonderful year! If you want to view the "montage" of how my Junior Year went in under a minute,

NEHS Club Fair Flyer

Christine, Sammy, and I worked on bringing back the Club Fair to help people see the clubs all in one place. I had to create a flyer for this momentous occasion, and it looks like it turned out amazing!

Student Senate Collection

I've been in Student Senate for three years, and I have been working as their One-Man Public Relations Team for my last two years. I definitely have a lot of projects and designs to flex, and it definitely deserves a whole section to itself!

High School Graphic Design

I took Graphic Design as a class during my Senior Year of high school, and I really enjoyed the class overall. While I definitely struggled with Adobe Illustrator a lot (especially because it's sooo baaaad canva >>>), I created some decent artworks that I wanted to showcase. Here's ALL of them (in no particular order)!

The Alphabet of NEHS Graphic Design 2023

This was definitely the best submission to have ever come from this class! I'm saying it now!

Inspired by The Immigrant Alphabet, held by Al-Bustan Seeds of Culture and NEHS in 2019, we tore a page from their book and created an alphabet of our own.

I've struggled with my identity, from the intrapersonal perspective (sexual orientation, gender, personality) to the superficial parts (ethnicity, body shape). This piece proves that no matter the backlash I receive, I'm willingly embracing what I have.

Shoe Design Board

I went above and beyond with my shoe design board, capturing the exact aesthetic I wanted for my platform boots. If I'm being honest, this design is WAY better than the actual shoe design itself, and that one was pretty good!

Video Game Landscape Sketch

Our objective was to create a video game landscape of our dreams. While everyone else decided to create a linear landscape with a cohesive aesthetic, I challenged myself with the mentality, "Why not all of them?"

"Art Sparks" Digital Remake

One day, I decided to draw Flora from Winx Club for fun. When the assignment came, I knew this was the best sketch to recreate. Despite how meticulous and difficult it was to use the pen tool, I eventually got the hang of it and was able to create this. It does look a little messy, but it's the thought that counts. Of course, we don't talk about that weird green space in between her hair and the wings...

Shoe Design

When I said that my shoe design itself was good, it actually turned out well! My shoe was inspired by the Drag experience I had. I wanted a pair of platform boots that would light up the stage, which complements my Drag identity, "HI-LIGHT" and how my goal is to be the highlight of the night. With a few outer glow lines, the pattern work on the laces, and the backdrop that looks like my shoe is being taken by the paparazzi, the overal look is AMAZING!

Digital Blind Contour

Deviating from our typical MacBook approach, we attempted contour drawings on paper. I eventually transitioned to my iPad for a self-contour drawing. Since it's a contour drawing, I think it turned out fairly well. While it's supposed to look messy, it does look a bit accurate to my face.

Red Panda Shape Art

Obviously, I never finished this project. I was just really struggling on creating a Red Panda with so many shapes, and it drove me insane throughout the entire process. I honestly hate it, and I think everyone from Turning Red would hate it too.

Broobs Digital Collage

Before making the transition into Adobe Illustrator, we were to make a digital collage with Canva. I like this collage because it accentuates my personality in a sense. It also fits my aesthetic very well!

Trans-Affirming Art

We were to create art that helps transgender individuals feel comfortable about their identity. I wanted people to recognize that trans people are the same people internally, but this artwork is supposed to help them feel sure of themselves externally. If I'm creating art that empowers trans people and make them feel comfortable in their own skin, I oughta do it right!

Digital Notan

This assignment was inspired by our work with Notan as a beginner assignment on Adobe Illustrator. While everyone was using linear designs, I went an arbitrary route and created a mini universe inside the hexagon. It was inspration from ZSunder at the time.

Sociology

Like many history classes, Sociology (actually called Social Science, but that name was so clickbait-y) had me do quite a lot of projects within the past year. It was honestly the best overall turnout that I have ever created so far, and I'm so happy that I get to flaunt it!

The Formation of the US Government

This was a very entertaining and somewhat educational video on the... well, you can read the title. I genuinely enjoyed creating this video along with a few friends. They made this video feel alive, and I give them so much credit!

Feel free to watch here, but don't actually take notes!

Government Assistance Programs Brochure

This was a last-minute project made in the midst of my burnout at the very end of the year. I've been told that Child Tax Credit is technically not a program, but oh well! I got a 90% on the project anyway.

Obergefell v. Hodges

This video was definitely a moment in time! As a group project, we were assigned to present the Obergefell v. Hodges court case as a project. Since we were banned from using presentations, I decided to use the video editing skills I have and created this mess of a video.

Senate "Spread the Love 2023" Flyer

I wanted to do something different for this year's Valentine's Day event. Last year's flyer was pretty good, but I wanted to one-up myself for this one. The end result was NOT good at all. It's cute, I guess? The cursive fonts honestly ruin it.
